We are searching for a New Resident Coach (Housing Support) for an amazing housing association in the Cardiff area.

What will you get?

THIS IS AN INITIAL TEMP CONTRACT FOR AROUND 2 MONTHS...WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF LONGER TERM.

Salary of £30,000 per year
Full time / 37 hours per week
Fixed term / Temporary
Possibility of being extended

What will you do?

Engage with new tenants / residents of the housing association
Meeting new residents at the flat or house - ensuring that each of them has a positive experience
Find out if they need help, support or guidance, related to housing
Deal with the setting up of energy supplies, bills , council tax and other services
Discuss benefits that the tenant(s) might be eligible for
Work with the residents to identify housing repairs and link in with the repairs team
Work with single tenants, couples, families and single parents
Accompany the Support Worker to some visits
Identify early issues and pro-actively resolve them
Assess risk and keep accurate records
Travel around the Cardiff area (car required) to various properties

What do we need?

Experience dealing with housing issues (repairs, utilities, housing benefits etc.)
Someone who is able to confidently engage with tenants over the phone and in person
An understanding of the rights of tenants
An understanding of the responsibilities of a social landlord
Someone who is capable of dealing with challenging / anti-social behaviours
A support work, tenancy support or rehousing background will be helpful
An enhanced DBS on the update service (adult and children's workforce) will be a distinct advantage
A DRIVERS LICENSE AND VEHICLE ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE
