Job Title: Multi-skilled and Maintenance Engineer
Location: Vitacress Salads, Lower Link Farm, St Mary Bourne, Andover
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 4 Days on / 4 Days off (Days & Nights)
Salary: Up to £52,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Your industrial background and electrical qualifications will come in handy, as will your hands-on skills working with mechanical and electrical systems. Quite frankly, you play a big part in why our customers get to enjoy that egg and watercress sandwich they love so much.
There’s nothing you’d rather do than be in the thick of it and showing off your strong technical skills. There is never a dull moment as we fine tune our new investments. Your ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings will mean you can respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs quickly and efficiently. Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory is second nature to you.
Main responsibilities:
* Adherence with all Company Occupational Health, Safety &
* Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. To ensure full co-operation in all aspects of HSE and to act positively on any failings or weaknesses in our systems or procedures, identified by yourself or brought to your attention
* Ensure that all working practices are adhered to in regard to health & safety, food safety and Vitacress procedures
* Continuous improvement ideas with the focus of reducing down time on machinery, increasing efficiency and reducing waste
* Seek to quickly instigate effective fault analysis and solve machine problems through the collaboration of all departments
* Ensuring accurate data input and recording of all related data bases to aide in analyses for focused improvements and ensure legal compliances are maintained
* Ensure that production specifications and quality standards are adhered to.
* Be flexible in the work that you do and the areas you work, support any other reasonable request by a relevant and appropriate manager

An ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience working in an engineering maintenance position, strong electrical and mechanical understanding to fault find, understanding of pneumatic control, a recognised engineering qualification through a training programme e.g apprenticeship or graduate scheme and is a strong team player.
