Position: Slitting Operator

Location: Peterborough

Hours: 8-hour shift - Monday - Friday

Salary: From £11.44 per hour

Would you like to work as a Slitting Operator for one of the Uks leading suppliers of packaging machinery and consumables to the fresh produce and food processing industries, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities of a Slitting Operator:

Assistance in the running of a Flexographic printing press
Production of high-quality company branded Sellotape's and depot tapes
Successful candidates will be given training in the print process and maintenance of printing press
Colour mixing and matching
Achieving machine targets speed where possible
Packing of all your own work
Completing all relevant paperwork
Work in close contact with all departments and undertake any task that you may be required to assist in
Fetching pallets of raw materials and moving completed work pallets with forklifts and pump trucks. Forklift training can be provided for the right candidateRequirements for a Slitting Operator:

Must be able to demonstrate some competence with machinery, preferably within print, but not essential
Counterbalance forklift license. Training can be provided for the right candidate
Flexibility is both given and expected
Professional
Must be a determined problem solver
Must be able to work well in teams or alone
Literacy is essential
