In-House - Tax Accountant (90% tax 10% accounting)

South Birmingham

Are you a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CTA) looking to move from practice to an in-house role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative finance team and take on a key role to include financial accounting, tax, and VAT compliance within a large, fast-paced organisation.

In this role you will manager one member of staff.

We're looking for a detail-driven, proactive individual to manage a range of key responsibilities, including:

✅ Tax & VAT Compliance - Overseeing UK, Netherlands, and Irish VAT returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

✅ Corporation Tax Packs - Preparing reports and working with the Group Tax team on quarterly and annual tax filings.

✅ PSA Accounting - Auditing and validating monthly PSA reports and annual returns.

✅ Business Liaison & Governance - Providing expert advice to commercial teams on tax and VAT matters.

✅ Financing Agreements Accounting - Overseeing financing arrangements, reconciliations, and contract closures.

✅ Investment Accounting - Managing investment reconciliations.

✅ Audit & Project Support - Supporting external audits and contributing to process improvements.

What You'll Need:

✔ Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA)

✔ Strong financial accounting, tax, and VAT experience

✔ Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate across departments

✔ Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
