Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge?
James Gray Recruitment are actively recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a leading UK engineering contractor operating in the water sector.
This is a full-time permanent role, offering hybrid working in Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects.
* Prepare and manage cost forecasts, budgets, and reports.
* Handle procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
* Assess and manage risk, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
* Ensure timely and accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Work collaboratively with project managers and operational teams to ensure commercial success.
What you will need to be successful:
* Proven previous experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil or mechanical engineering.
* Previous experience in the water sector is highly desirable.
* Experience in cost management and contract administration.
* Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
