Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) | Swale | £90-£110 per day | Full and Part-Time Opportunities | Starting September 2024

Supply Desk are actively recruiting an enthusiastic HLTA to join our partnered Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary schools in Swale. You'll be part of supportive teams that use adaptive teaching methods to help every child reach their full potential. The successful candidate will cover PPA sessions, provide group support, and lead lessons in the teacher's absence—an excellent opportunity to build your confidence and experience in the classroom.

HLTA Responsibilities:

Supporting small groups of children with SEND, ensuring lessons are inclusive and meet individual needs.
Delivering pre-planned lessons during teachers’ PPA sessions.
Using effective behaviour management strategies with a focus on positive reinforcement.
Working closely with school staff to maintain good behaviour and monitor pupils’ progress.
Planning and delivering interventions for students receiving additional SEND support.
Building strong relationships with parents to ensure ongoing development and keep them informed of their child’s progress.
Providing 1:1 support for children with SEND.
The ideal candidate will:

Hold HLTA qualifications (experienced teaching assistants are encouraged to apply!).
Be adaptable and ready to take on a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outdoors.
Have experience working with children who have special educational needs.
Hold a valid, in-date DBS and have two references.
