Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

Job Description: As a Road Freight Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the European and UK road freight team. You will be one of the main points of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing daily operations for key accounts. This role requires excellent customer service and organisational skills to ensure the smooth handling of freight consignments.

Key responsibilities include:

* Planning and managing export/import, part loads, and full load consignments between the UK and Europe.

* Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers to provide outstanding service.

* Completing export customs declarations on the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).

* Managing client relationships through quotations, bookings, follow-ups, and problem-solving.

* Handling general administration, including cost checks, creating CMRs, and ensuring efficient communication with stakeholders.

* Processing bookings in the freight management system and tracking shipments.

* Adapting to an ever-changing environment and assisting with tasks beyond standard responsibilities when required.

* Representing the company professionally at all times.

Skills & Experience: To excel as a Road Freight Operator, you should have:

* At least 1 year of experience in European Road Freight.

* Knowledge of customs requirements, processes, and procedures.

* A background in shipping/logistics.

* Strong accuracy and diligence in daily tasks.

* Excellent time keeping and organisational skills.

* Confidence and teamwork skills.

* A strong customer service mindset.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT knowledge.
