HGV Class 1 Tramper (Trunking)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across the UK. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and night out allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, adhering to relevant regulations and company policies

* Transport goods between locations, ensuring timely delivery

* Perform pre- and post-use vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, reporting issues promptly

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked, in line with legal and company requirements

* Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself and others

* Communicate effectively with management, dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to resolve delivery issues

* Plan efficient routes using navigation systems to minimize fuel consumption

* Adhere to driving regulations regarding rest periods and maximum driving hours

* Maintain professionalism and customer service standards when interacting with clients and the public

* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required

Requirements:

* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence

* Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

* Digital Tachograph Card

* Minimum of one year of experience as an HGV Class 1 driver

* Clean driving record with no more than 6 points on your licence

* Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and driving laws

* Ability to work independently with reliability and self-motivation

* Good communication skills and professional interaction with customers and team members

* Physically fit to manage the demands of long-haul driving and handling heavy loads

* Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
