Purpose of the Role
The role focuses on effectively managing rental income, supporting tenants in maintaining their rent payments, and working with various support services to prevent arrears.
Essential Requirements
Experience of managing rent and service charge accounts
Experience of using a database to track arrears and record interventions
Key Responsibilities
Rental Income Management: Oversee day-to-day rent collection and manage arrears recovery following organizational policies.
Tenant Communication: Provide proactive communication regarding rent accounts through various channels.
Support for Tenants: Offer firm, non-judgemental advice, helping residents understand available support and their responsibilities.
Arrears Agreements: Work with residents to create sustainable arrears repayment plans and take corrective action when necessary.
Legal Action: Escalate cases to legal proceedings as needed and represent Causeway in court when required.
Collaborative Support: Partner with internal teams, local authorities, and external support organizations to help customers sustain their tenancies.
