Salary: £84 to £97 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join in a family of schools working together in Hull. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and promoting positive behaviour. You will work closely with teachers and other school staff to create a safe and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

As a Behaviour Mentor your responsibilities will be:

Support students on a one-to-one or small group basis to improve behaviour and engagement.
Work collaboratively with teachers to implement behaviour strategies and interventions.
Build positive relationships with students to foster trust and mutual respect.
Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
Assist in the development of personalised support plans for students with challenging behaviour.
Encourage and motivate students to develop self-confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.
The successful Behaviour Mentor will:

Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and a positive outlook.
Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
A genuine passion for supporting students and making a difference in their lives.
Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the school environment.

Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
