£42,913 - £46,898 per annum
As our Farm Manager, you will join our amazing team at Brinsbury College to co-ordinate the day to day farm activities and maintain, develop and deliver forward thinking plans to expand the farm’s existing direct sales enterprises. Our fantastic farm has a dairy herd, with brand new cattle shed and modern milking parlour. We also have a sheep herd and a range of agricultural machinery – all of which help the next generation of farmers learn their skills.
Working at Brinsbury College means working in a unique location, surrounded by 570 acres of stunning countryside with our very own farm, woodlands, orchard and more!
This is a Farm Manager role with fantastic benefits, including a Local Government Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement highly competitive against what is offered by the private farming sector and other organisations. You also get access to a range of discount schemes and professional development opportunities. Check out the Staff Benefits booklet attached to this advert for more information about our fantastic range of benefits available to staff.
As our Farm Manager, you will have demonstrable agricultural experience, including working and managing a farm unit. You will have knowledge of livestock and crop production and agricultural machinery. A minimum of a level 3 qualification in agriculture is also essential. As the Farm is run as a commerical business, as well as a teaching resource, it needs to run cost-effectively and therefore experience of managing budgets is also essential.
Working in a vibrant and inclusive further education college is an inspiring experience. Our staff have a relentless focus on delivering outstanding teaching, learning and support, where you'll encounter a diverse student body, a positive atmosphere, ample support services, innovative teaching methods, community engagement and a celebration of individual differences.
