ACS Staffing Solutions have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Assistant to join our Irthlingborough based client on a permanent basis, as they further invest in their workshop function to support rapid growth plans. The successful candidate will provide a key support function to the company, enabling them to continue to provide a first-class service within their workshop and service department.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Cleaning and preparing equipment for inspection/calibration
Checking returned equipment from off hire for any damages
Tagging up of new equipment
Updating and maintaining information on a database system
Assisting with stock takes

Previous experience in a workshop environment is desirable but not essential.
Current and valid driving license (category B as a minimum);
Good MS Office suite and databases skills.Skills

Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, including the ability to multi-task in a controlled manner and able to find material/information in a timely fashion.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
Excellent people skills and customer focused.
Manufacturer training will be given after a completion of a probationary periodYou will be a team player and have an ability to work well with fellow colleagues, be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative with a flexible attitude as travel to customer sites may be required to fulfil the role..

Hours - 8.00 am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday (1-hour unpaid lunch),8:00 am – 4.30pm Friday (half hour unpaid lunch)

Holiday: 25 Days per annum, plus bank holidays (3 or 4 days to be saved for a shutdown at Christmas).
