Position: General Foreman – Groundworks and Civils
Location: Stansted
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced General Foreman specialising in Groundworks and Civils. This role offers a clear pathway to senior positions, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to collaborate with Tier 1 main contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

* Manage and mentor site personnel, fostering a productive and safety-conscious work environment.

* Ensure all work meets the required standards and specifications, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.

* Coordinate the procurement and allocation of materials, equipment, and labour to optimise site efficiency.

* Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular progress updates.

* Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies.

* Ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are effectively implemented on-site.

* Manage and issue necessary permits for site activities, ensuring compliance with legal and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven track record as a General Foreman in groundworks and civil engineering projects.

* Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification.

* Strong leadership and organisational abilities, with experience managing diverse teams.

* Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, materials, and health and safety regulations.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

* Familiarity with implementing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

* Experience in managing and issuing permits for site activities.
