Join a leading civil engineering and infrastructure solutions provider, supporting the UK's top housebuilders on major new-build developments who are known for delivering exceptional results across a range of civil engineering projects.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support our clients continued growth. In this role, you will prepare detailed tenders for civils and groundworks projects typically around £10m. You will analyse tender scopes, conduct risk assessments, and produce competitive cost estimates aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Estimating: Accurately prepare tenders for residential civils and groundworks projects.

* Design Interpretation: Analyse engineering drawings to determine project requirements.

* Material Take-Offs: Perform detailed material take-offs and create tender summaries.

* Supplier Quotations: Obtain and negotiate competitive supplier quotations.

* Quotation Preparation: Deliver comprehensive and timely quotations.

* Client Engagement: Liaise with clients to discuss tenders and address queries.

* Cost Analysis: Provide detailed material cost breakdowns and financial analyses.

* Job Costing: Prepare monthly forecasts and job cost analysis.

* Site Visits & Meetings: Attend client meetings and site visits as necessary.

* Documentation: Assist with monthly applications and final accounts.

* Collaboration: Work closely with Contracts Managers and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.

About you:

* A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Estimator in civils and groundworks.

* Expertise in earthworks, foundations, substructures, roads, sewers, utilities, and landscaping.

* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure.

* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

* A full UK driving license.
