Production Quality Supervisor
Fresh People are currently looking to recruit a Production QC Supervisor on nights for our client in Fresh Produce within a packhouse facility based in Sittingbourne in Kent . In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all produce dispatched from our client meets all customer requirements of safety, quality and legality.
Candidate Type
Suitable candidates must have worked previously as a QC looking for an opportunity to step up into a supervisor role or currently be in a supervisory role already , previously worked in a temperature controlled environment within a packhouse or production environment with excellent written and spoken English , knowledge of fresh produce standards preferably with Prophet experience ( preferred)
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage Production quality team
* Maintain quality standards across all products
* Communicate to the QA team regarding relevant issues
* To ensure all product packaging and detail meets or exceeds the customer’s and legal standards
* Prepare Production and shelf life QA rota
* Provide training for new members of the quality team
* Work safely and report any hazards or near misses to the QA manager or Shift Production Manager.
* Monitor and Supervise calibration of equipment used by QC
* Communicate to the customer( verbally and via e-mail) about any quality concerns
* Ensure QA team has got most recent specifications available
* Ensure customer specifications are up to date
* Work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of the department as set by the QC Manager and the needs of the business.
* Maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping
