We are recruiting an Operations Manager for a leading specialist industrial finishing company who offers a wide range of coatings and processes to improve the performance and extend the life of industrial components. The services provided include pre-treatment, shot blasting, paint spraying, metal spraying, powder coating, industrial powder coating and E-Coating.

This position is responsible for overseeing and optimising the daily operations of the business, ensuring efficient processes, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with strategic goals.

The role will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and work closely with other department heads to improve the working environment and business processes of the Company. The post holder will strengthen client relationships and ensure the successful continuance of business operations. You will be expected to harness a working environment which encourages teamwork, energy and positivity. To achieve this, you need to have strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills along with good communication skills.

The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include:

* Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth business processes.

* Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Business Development, Finance, HR) to ensure alignment with organisational goals.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

* Manage and lead teams, setting performance standards and expectations.

Process Improvement:

* Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement process improvement strategies.

* Lead cross-functional teams to improve operational systems and reduce costs.

* Implement new technologies or systems to improve efficiency and productivity.

* Ensure production output adheres to the Quality standards expected by Company and to the customer’s specific standards as dictated by their contract.

Strategic Planning:

* Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals.

* Plan and execute operational goals in line with business objectives

* Monitor market trends and adapt operations to changing industry dynamics.

Financial Management:

* Manage operational budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.

* As part of the SLT, monitor financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, and fore.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar managerial position, have a good working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and knowledge of ISO 9001 and higher ISO standards.
