About the Role
We are seeking a skilled HLTA to work closely with teachers, support staff, and pupils to deliver high-quality education and care. This role involves working with children and young people aged 5-19 who have a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and associated learning challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering tailored interventions and activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
Leading small group sessions or working 1:1 to support learning and development.
Providing support in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Assisting in creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to support pupil's holistic development.
What We're Looking For
A Level 4 or equivalent HLTA qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
Experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally within an educational setting.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, adaptable attitude.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
