Exciting Opportunity: Trades and Labour Teaching Assistant Needed!

Do you have experience in trades and labour and a solid understanding of Health & Safety protocols?
Milestone Education are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Trades and Labour Teaching Assistand in a SEND school.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teachers in delivering construction-based lessons and activities.
* Demonstrate and guide students in trades skills and procedures.
* Promote and enforce Health & Safety practices within workshops and practical environments.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, adapting to their individual needs.
* Foster positive relationships with students encouraging engagement and personal development.
* Collaborate with staff to ensure lessons are inclusive and accessible to all students.
What you’ll need:
* Experience in the construction or trades industry
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, particularly in practical and workshop settings.
* An Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to complete one)
* A genuine interest in supporting Young people, particularly those with SEND.
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to build rapport with students facing barriers to learning.
Additional details:
Location: Birmingham
Start: January 2024
Hours: Full time, ongoing (Monday – Friday 08:30 – 15:30)
Pay Rate: £90 - £95 a day
