Role: Housekeeping Supervisor
Location of work: West Silvertown, E16
Hours: 40 per week, 8am - 5pm on a rota basis Monday to Sunday. The role will be working 4 days during the week and 1 day on a weekend.
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Based at a large residential development in East London, your role and responsibilties will be focused on managing a team of 20 cleaners and making sure the levels of cleanliness are kept to a high standard. The cleaning on the development is around the communal areas, not in the apartments themselves.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensure all communal and staff areas are cleaned to the highest standard possible.
* Hands-on with cleaning tasks as and when required.
* Ensure all supervisory duties are carried out to the Deputy Property Director’s (or their appointed Manager’s) instructions.
* Keep records of staff lateness, sickness, appointments, and holidays.
* Carry out supplies stock takes monthly.
* Keep staff info folders up to date.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to the Management team and all residents.
* To be a part of the Estates Team maintaining the policies, company rules and quality of Ballymore.
* Attend regular training sessions.
* Ensure the staff uniform is worn and standards of appearance are always maintained.
* Maintain a high standard of work throughout the Estate.
* Ensure that all works are carried out as per specification.
* Attend monthly meetings with your line manager and working colleagues.
* Report any damage or defects immediately.
* Ensure that all your equipment is kept in good working order, reporting any faults to your manager.
* Ensure you address all residents, visitors and staff in accordance with the company standards at all times.
* Regularly attend on-the-job staff customer care and in house training courses.
* Report all maintenance issues to include light bulbs, trip hazards etc. to the Facilities Manager.
* Ensure that time sheets are accurately filled in daily, together with any other necessary forms.
* To help to create a ‘can do, will do, with pleasure’ culture within all aspects of the Residential Estates Team.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Previous supervisory or management experience within the Housekeeping / Cleaning industry.
* Strong communication skills.
* Good written and verbal English.
* Basic IT Skills (Word/Excel Etc).
* Ability to make dynamic decisions.
* Ability to work using their own initiative.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Good working knowledge of CoSHH legislation and Health & Safety regulations within the cleaning industry.
* Team player
