Cost Estimating Manager

Copello are working with an International defence client on the recruitment of a Cost Estimating Manager. This is a new role in a restructured estimating organisation looking across all the major Programmes within the maritime domain. The role will create opportunities to implement learning from experience rapidly across programmes, identify synergies to standardise work and improve the estimating maturity on the programmes

What you’ll be doing:

* Leading and managing a team of estimators who work with delivery support leads to generate base cost and provision estimates supported with the relevant basis of estimate documentation across programmes

* Create standardised approaches to estimating and working with the leadership teams of multiple programmes to determine estimating maturity plans and making prioritisation decisions

* Engaging with external customers through pricing and maturity assessment work providing guidance, direction and supporting team members

Your skills and experiences:

* Estimating experience in a leadership role within the defence industry

* Previous experience in leading a team through complex projects

* Experience in managing multiple customers

* Excellent stakeholder management skills

* Ability to identify areas of improvements

* Operations experience is a must

* Educated to at least degree level and/ or equivalent experience

Please note SC Clearance must be obtainable for this position
