This School is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant working with students between the ages of 4 - 11, the school is based in Sheffield and has been designated for children with autism and communication difficulties, providing a tailored environment to meet their unique needs.

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a school based in Sheffield, this school values strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents and professionals. In this role you will help create a calm, supportive environment that enables each child to thrive, both academically and personally. With the correct patience, understanding and commitment to work with the students, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to create a flexible and supportive learning environment tailored to each students’ unique needs and will have a genuine passion for fostering the development and well-being of the students.

Requirements 

The desired Candidate will have:  

Experience working with children with Autism and Communication.
Patience and empathy in dealing with diverse learning and behavioural challenges.
Relevant qualifications and experience within education or related fields of work.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
