Purpose of position

-To assist with day-to-day running of the agency.

-To deputize for the function of the Registered Manager during his/her absence, while at all times supporting the decisions made by the Registered Manager.

-To promote a caring environment for service users through high standards of professional practice which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the service users.

-To ensure that each service user receives care appropriate to their individual need.

-To ensure that documentation of Assessments, spot checks, supervisions can be written in a professional manner

-To implement the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.

Principal Responsibilities

-Assisting the Coordinator with the new referrals and potential service users visits, assessments, support planning, spot checks, observation and shadowing of new and current workforce

-Develop effective working relationships with the Agency Coordinator and Administrator of the agency

-Positively and fully support implement the decisions of the Registered Manager and/or Agency Coordinator.

-Create and uphold an open, positive and inclusive management culture.

-Participate in the maintenance of the agency’s management information systems

- investigating complaints, taking appropriate action and reporting to the person-in-control and/or the CQC if and when required

-The Agency Coordinator will be expected to provide physical, social, and emotional support and assistance to the service users who need help with their personal and domestic needs in case of emergencies, holiday or sickness.

-Evaluate Care Plans.

-To arrange staff rotas

-Co-jointly managing the Out of Hours Telephone of the agency

Person Specification- Essential Criteria

-at least one yeas experience in a community work

-a management qualification or care qualification and/or working towards equivalent minimum to NVQ level 3

-Experience in assessing service user needs and care planning

-the ability to take responsibility

-leadership skills

-self motivated

-organised

-flexibility

-caring

-sensitivity to the needs of others and to the sick or infirm

-an active team player but also able to work on own initiative

-a good communicator

-commitment to high standards

-commitment to training
