Metrologist – Coventry, UK

Are you an experienced Metrologist looking for a new opportunity? My client is seeking a skilled professional to join our UKAS-accredited laboratory in Coventry, where you will be responsible for the calibration and certification of Dimensional Measuring Equipment and Reference Masters in line with approved procedures.

As a Metrologist, you will ensure precision and accuracy in dimensional measurements, maintaining high standards of inspection and calibration. This role involves working both on-site and at customer locations, providing expert support and ensuring compliance with industry requirements.

Key Skills & Responsibilities for the Metrologist job:

* Perform calibration and certification of dimensional measuring equipment

* Maintain accurate records and administrative reports

* Apply inspection techniques to support customer applications

* Work independently, representing the company at customer sites

* Ensure compliance with approved laboratory procedures

Key Requirements for the Metrologist job:

* Mechanical engineering qualifications, apprenticeship, or relevant experience

* Strong knowledge of dimensional metrology and industry-specific terminology

* Experience in standards room or gauge inspection techniques

* Good communication, organisational, and IT skills

* Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn
