Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working on an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality and Technical Assistant to join a successful window and doors business.

This business has been manufacturing windows and doors for the trade sector for over 40 years. They are known for their extensive range of high-quality trade windows, trade doors, and conservatories, boasts state of the art machinery and has an excellent working environment.

The right person for this role will have current or recent experience working within quality related projects in a window and door manufacturer.

The role responsibilities:

* Focus on data integrity on defects, both internal and external and then robust actions and system improvements to prevent reoccurrences.

* Running QIT (Quality Improvement teams) with factory and business teams.

* Assist production and other areas of the business on reducing remakes

* Intro & management of Pass/Fail system, at a cellular level, with live Quality KPIs/Scorecards

* Testing management and creation of test samples to relevant British Standards i.e. Kitemark (PAS24) – training, will be given

* Identify opportunities for improvement to assist production.

* Working hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm

Person’s skills & experience

* Come from a quality and technical role within the windows and doors sector

* Understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 and general quality systems and accreditations

* Be computer literate, able to use Microsoft package

* Is hands on and a willingness to learn

* Have excellent communication skills

* Auditing experience but training will be provided

* RCA (Route Cause Analysis) experience/knowledge
