Mechanical Engineer – Leeds – Immediate Start

A large healthcare provider is currently looking for a mechanical engineer to join one of their portfolios in south Leeds. If you are looking to develop your skills within a job role in a fast paced well respected company then this could be the right job for you.

My client based in the facilities maintenance industry is looking for a confident outgoing engineer that can use his/her own initiative to produce results. The position is temporary to permanent opportunity last 3 months on the temporary side. .

Salary The rate of pay for this position is up to £23 per hour.

Work Hours Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm. There may also be opportunities to join the on-call rota with overtime opportunities available.

Responsibilities and duties

* PPM and reactive maintenance

* Fault finding and competent to rectify

* Regular fire alarm testing and drills. Ensuring the fire equipment is in working order and updating the fire alarm log book

* Liaise with management regarding health and safety procedures/issues, ongoing repairs and faults, maintenance and building services.

* Assisting with basic fabric duties on site

Requirements

* Minimum C&G level/NVQ 2 in mechanical engineering OR plumbing

* Must be able to obtain a basic DBS

* Experience in commercial building services

* General maintenance experience

* Time served in an apprenticeship is an advantage
