Shifts: Continental Shift - Rotating Days and Nights (06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00, 3 on / 3 off)

Industrious Recruitment is seeking a motivated Extrusion Operator to join our growing team at a busy site in Dunstable. If you’re ready to take on a challenging role in extrusion processes and contribute to a dynamic and supportive team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What You'll Do:

As an Extrusion Operator, your main responsibility will be to ensure that extrusion lines run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll:

* Work closely with the Extrusion Manager to prioritize jobs and understand work orders.

* Confidently operate extrusion lines, troubleshoot, and solve any issues that arise.

* Assist other operators during start-ups and changeovers.

* Conduct quality checks at various stages of production to meet high standards, including product size, presentation, and safety tests.

* Label, stack, and pack finished products, preparing them for delivery.

* Measure, record, and feed batches of raw materials into machinery.

* Granulate waste materials and ensure basic machine maintenance is completed.

* Report equipment faults and work to ensure the factory floor and machinery are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order in the factory.

* Use lifting equipment, cranes, and forklift trucks as needed.

* Ensure sufficient supply of raw materials and pallets are conveniently located for production.

* Always adhere to Health and Safety and High Hygiene procedures.

* Wear proper PPE and ensure uniform standards are maintained.
