* Maintains patient records.

* Provides referrals to specialists.

* Conducts medical examinations.

* Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries.

* Communicates with patients and their parents and caregivers.

* Guides patients and caregivers on illness and injury prevention and promotes lifelong health practices
