The Role
Commercial Services Group have a compelling opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Corporate Finance team. We’re looking for someone with an exceptional eye for detail and prior experience working within a similar role.

As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting and training the Purchase ledgers clerks to drive improvements in processing volumes with accuracy and speed across a range of legal entities, business units and systems. We’re looking for a driven individual who will excel in this role to protect the business from fraud and error.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be a good leader, they are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the accounts payable team and establishing targets to ensure smooth running of the department.

This is a hybrid working role working on-site in Aylesford at least one day per week, please ensure you consider this prior to making your application.

Key duties

Supervise the Accounts Payable Team with line management responsibilities

Ensure a culture of fraud awareness is adopted and adhered to

Understand processes around supplier invoicing

Communicate with other areas of the business, including suppliers

Supplier coding, arrange signatories and ensure invoices are returned in good time

Manage supplier invoicing

Ensure good administration of invoicing throughout the department

Any other appropriate duties consistent with the status and role of the post
What we need from you

AAT Qualified or similar experience

Prior experience working in Accounts Payable

Previous experience line managing staff in a financial setting

Knowledge of VAT compliance

Experience working in a corporate multi service organisation

IT skills, particularly Microsoft Packages

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work on own initiative
