We are looking for a Costing Analyst to support our client who specialises in ground and cargo handling to inflight catering and retail as well as other services. You will be supporting the food costings for menu production and the loading charts for delivery notes and billing requirements. This is a hybrid position, working 2/3 days a week in the office based in Hounslow, London.
As the Costing Analyst, your duties will include:
Obtaining, presenting and distributing all agreed menu information in a timely and professional manner
Creating accurate cost build of product componentry within their airline customer menus to agreed specifications
Ensuring all costing data, specifications and pricing information are updated and maintained as required
Participating in the menu presentation process
Working on Microsoft Excel, updating reports
Supporting the business on a day-to-day basis using airline account expertise and system reports to advise on key information such as loading charts, specifications and recipe build/methods
As the Costing Analyst, you will have:
Understanding food menu costing, however, this is not essential
Financial awareness and understanding of pricing policies including food cost values, would be an advantage
Previous experience working within a similar industry including hospitality, food manufacturing/production or any other similar sector
Computer literate with Excel and Word skills
Ability to adapt to different databases including in-house systems
Ability to multitask, work within strict time frames and meet deadlines
Analytical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, must be methodical, and logical in the approach to work
Confidence to challenge data in pursuit of accuracy
You may have experience working in any of the following: Finance Analyst, Costing Specialist, Product Co-ordinator, Margin Specialist, Financial Planning Analyst, Cost Accountant or any other similar position
As the Costing Analyst, you will receive a salary of circa £35,000 per annum, depending on your experience
