Yard Operative

Salary: £25,282 per year

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, plus one Saturday morning per month (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Are you an experienced Yard Operative with a background in the timber merchant industry or a similar environment? Ready to work with one of the UK’s most forward-thinking timber merchants, serving both private and commercial customers? Based in Huddersfield, we’re looking for a proactive, motivated individual to join our dynamic team.

Your Role:

- Load and unload delivery vehicles with care and efficiency.

- Provide exceptional service to customers, assisting with collections and ensuring orders are accurate.

- Organize and relocate stock to designated storage areas.

- Pick and pack orders accurately for seamless dispatch.

- Contribute to both warehouse operations and customer service excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous yard experience, ideally in a timber merchant or similar environment.

- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
