ROLE: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

LOCATION: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 (Negotiable) plus car allowance, mileage expenses, private healthcare, 26 days holiday, opportunity for progression

Our Client are a multi award winning Tier 1 Contractor, with a massive presence Nationwide, working across sectors to include Commercial, Education Healthcare, Residential, MOJ and Retail.

THE JOB

An exciting Assistant Quantity Surveyor position working on projects from £10-£150million, you will be reporting into a site based Senior Quantity Surveyor, with day to day duties to include the following:

* Assisting the site based Senior Quantity Surveyor

* Regular travel to site with local office

* Deal with valuations & payment notices.

* Provide a detailed cost budget plan and share with the site team.

* Maintain schedules of quantities and price them for the prime cost budget.

* Prepare estimates of all costs including sub-contractors & materials.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* The ideal candidate will have experience within NEC form of contract, however not essential

* Happy to travel to sites across Kent

* Experienced in Commercial, Education and Healthcare desirable

* Degree/HND qualification in quantity surveying/commercial management/construction desirable

* Excellent understanding of Excel

* Excellent planning and organisation skills

* Good negotiation and communication skills

* Good time management skills

* Self-motivating

* Highly numerate

* Evidence of maintaining a professional, consistent, and fair approach
