Audit Manager Job Overview

Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, executing, and completing financial audits in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Review and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Identifying opportunities for additional services and business development, collaborating with partners to expand client engagements
Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients
Review automated audit work papers prepared by audit staff
Responsible for corporation tax compliance function of portfolio of corporate clients
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
70/30 split between audit and accounts

Audit Manager Job Requirements

ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience, with post qualification experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in audit, accounting, and tax, in a reputable accounting firm. Ideally 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Experience in managing a portfolio of small to large clients
Thorough understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS and other accounting and audit standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With experience in coaching and mentoring staff
