Smile Education is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Wednesbury, looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their resource base team. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference, supporting students with additional needs and challenging behaviour.

About the Role:
Location: Wednesbury
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Full-time position
Responsibilities:
Supporting students within the school’s resource base.
Working 1:1 and in small groups to meet the individual needs of pupils.
Helping students manage challenging behaviour and develop essential skills.
Collaborating with teachers and other staff to create a nurturing and supportive environment.About You:
Qualifications: A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Education.
Experience:
UK-based experience within an education setting is essential.
Proven ability to support students with SEND, including managing challenging behaviour.
Skills:
Strong understanding of the curriculum.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Empathy, patience, and resilience to support students effectively.
Compliance:
Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for one.What’s in it for You?
