Cover Supervisor

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of regular teaching staff. Your role will involve following lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, and providing support to students to maintain a productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage classes according to provided lesson plans, ensuring that students stay on task and engaged.
- Handle classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.
- Support students with their learning activities and address any questions or issues they may have.
- Monitor student progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff members.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as setting up resources and preparing materials.

Key Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate students.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications or training related to education or child development are advantageous.
- An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance is required.
