What Does Hybrid Working Mean?
50% Home-Based – Conduct remote assessments via telephone or video
50% Site-Based in Canterbury – Attend local site for in-person assessments

RCN-accredited training & CPD opportunities Your Role as a Disability Assessor:

PIP Disability Assessor
Conduct Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the DWP
Evaluate how health conditions affect claimants’ daily activities
Complete structured medical reports to support decision-making
Assess claimants via telephone, video, or face-to-face consultations WCA Disability Assessor
Conduct Work Capacity Assessments (WCA) to determine a claimant’s ability to work
Review medical evidence and engage with claimants to understand their limitations
Use clinical expertise to write fair and evidence-based reports for the DWP What You Need:
HCPC/NMC registration (Minimum one year post-registration experience)
Strictly for Adult Registered Nurses:
RGNs – Registered General Nurses
RMNs – Registered Mental Health Nurses
RNLDs – Registered Learning Disability Nurses
