Job Title: Quality Manager / Deputy Technical Manager
Location: Worcester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
DATS Engineering Solutions is actively seeking a skilled and versatile Quality Manager / Deputy Technical Manager to support one of our valued clients. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, hands-on environment where flexibility and technical expertise are key.

Our client is a highly specialised engineering laboratory offering testing services for various industries such as aerospace and construction. Their commitment to excellence is achieved by working to a comprehensive range of testing standards, ensuring clients receive accurate and reliable results. The company operates with a small, agile team, allowing them to offer a personalised and responsive service, particularly in critical technical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deputise in the absence of the Technical Manager, managing day-to-day operations, staff, and office duties.
* Apply knowledge of ASTM or ISO standards for testing and ensure compliance with technical regulations.
* Troubleshoot and repair basic hydraulic systems and diagnose electrical faults (switches, soldering).
* Operate an Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) for chemical analysis.
* Oversee and manage Quality Management Systems, including ISO 17025, and ensure all documentation is current and compliant.
* Conduct internal audits and support external audits from certification bodies like UKAS.
Ideal Candidate:
* Technical proficiency in both hydraulic and electrical systems.
* Experience with quality management, internal auditing, and external audit preparations.
* A flexible problem-solver who can wear many hats in a small team environment
