Business: The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce biogas, renewable electricity, heat and ReGrow (a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms). The plants also recycle the food waste packaging providing an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill.
The Position:
An exciting opening has arisen for a Regional Sales Manager to join the team at our ReFood Dagenham site. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join an established and growing company that is committed to helping conserve natural resources and protect the environment.
This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As a Regional Sales Manager, your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:
Managing the sales of the company’s recycling services within the designated territory and/or accounts.
To manage the regional sales team to ensure all agreed targets and objectives are achieved.
Manage and control feedstocks into the Dagenham facility to ensure supply is at the required level, compliance with legal requirements and to maintain the appropriate revenue and quality objectives.
Ensure that PAS 110 digestate compliance is maintained and oversee the 3rd party digestate contractors.
Maintain contact with existing customers, monitor trading levels and maximise opportunities for additional business.
Prepare quotes in line with the agreed pricing strategy and re-negotiate terms where appropriate.
Gather and maintain up-to-date market intelligence within the local area, monitor competitor activity (services and prices), and communicate where necessary.
The Person:
Good formal education – A-Level educated minimum.
Full UK Driving Licence and ability and willingness to travel, when required.
Be experienced in new business sales within a B2B environment and be experienced in providing support to a field sales team.
Previous management experience.
Be able to engage with customers and build strong, commercial relationships across a range of organisations and contact levels.
Good written, and verbal, communication and IT skills – must be proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Ability to make decisions under pressure, be flexible, practical and hard working with a strong work ethic.
