The Role

Position: Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Bolton
Start Date: September 2024 (or sooner if available)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Subject Specialism: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (general Science teaching at KS3, with a specialism at KS4 preferred)You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Science lessons, encouraging students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts. The role includes lesson planning, assessment, and contributing to the wider Science curriculum. There may also be opportunities to teach at KS5 for the right candidate.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications: QTS (or equivalent) and a degree in Science or a related subject
Experience: Teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4), with KS5 experience desirable but not essential
Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and the ability to make Science accessible and engaging for all students
Commitment: A passion for inspiring young scientists, raising student achievement, and contributing to the school's ethos of excellence
