Warehouse Manager
Location: Midlands tbc
Salary £30k negotiable, depending on Experience.
The Client
A Global manufacturer of high-quality powered wheelchairs. Supplying to the NHS and End Users. Requiring a Warehouse Manager for their brand new site in the Midlands.
The Job
Based at the company's new premises in the Midlands (exact location TBC), you will be responsible for the following:
• Site management.
• Plan layout of stock room, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored.
• Advise warehouse staff on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock and related problems.
• Analyse records and recommend remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
• Review records in direct coordination with logistics personnel to ensure information accuracy and compliance with established procedures and to determine the adequacy of stock levels.
• Schedule work for special and periodic inventories.
• Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records, and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Determine work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Compile and prepares reports from individual reports from staff.
• Study and standardise procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
• Maintain Safety guidelines and other regulatory standards in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse
• Maintain the daily operation of the Warehouse
The Ideal Candidate
• Valid driver’s licence
• Forklift training and certification
• Strong customer service skills
• 5 years minimum experience in warehouse operations, including some supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of Google Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
