About the role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support to students with additional needs in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and determined to help children overcome barriers to learning. You’ll have the chance to build meaningful relationships with students, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Application Requirements: We are looking for:
• A compassionate and enthusiastic individual with experience or a keen interest in working with children with SEN.
• Previous experience in a classroom or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
• The ability to start in January 2025 and commit to a full-time, long-term position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and external specialists to implement tailored learning plans.
• Provide encouragement and celebrate achievements, however small.
• Help create an engaging and safe classroom environment where children feel valued and understood.
