PALM Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Water Hygiene Technician to join the team based in Bury St Edmunds on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,500 per annum + Training & Benefits.
P.A.L.M Solutions Plumbing and Legionella Management Specialists provide nationwide coverage to all commercial sectors, ensuring full compliance of water systems in accordance with ACoP L8 & HSG274.
We are a well-established and privately-owned water hygiene and Legionella management company with a national footprint.
About the role:
As the Water Hygiene Technician, your role will involve servicing both public and private sector sites across the UK.
No prior experience is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to learning.
Comprehensive training will be provided.
Responsibilities as our Water Hygiene Technician will include:
The successful candidate will be fully trained to perform a range of L8 compliance tasks, including:
Water sampling and temperature monitoring
TMV servicing
CWST cleans and disinfections
Simple remedial plumbing tasks
Legionella risk assessments
As our Water Hygiene Technician, you’ll ideally have:
A background in plumbing (preferred, but not essential)
A basic understanding of water systems (desirable)
Basic IT skills, ideally with experience using Microsoft Office
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management abilities
Thrive under pressure and can meet deadlines
Value excellent customer service
Work well as part of a team
Hold a full UK driving licence
Can pass a DBS check due to the nature of the work environment
