Merton College are seeking a Lecturer to deliver outstanding quality in teaching, learning and assessment to adults and 16-18 year olds on Level 1 to Level 3 Professional Cookery courses.

Supporting the running of the commercial restaurant (TASTE), which is run by learners, you will provide academic tutorial support to students, to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum, with employer engagement, and learner skills development central.

We’re looking for someone who holds a degree in Hospitality and Catering and who has experience of teaching City & Guilds Level 1 to Level 3 Professional Cookery courses, in an FE College, School or for a private provider. With strong evidence of good-to-outstanding teaching, learning, assessment, and tracking, you will have a successful record of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring, and reviewing progress and be able to work under pressure as well as to strict validating body deadlines, providing evidence of assessment for Moderation. Experience of running a commercial kitchen or training kitchen is essential.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
