Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Caerphilly area. The successful candidate will support classroom activities, assist teachers in delivering lessons, and provide academic support to students. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in education and make a positive impact on students’ learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering lesson plans
* Provide support to students with special educational needs or those who need additional help
* Supervise students during classroom activities, break times, and lunch
* Help with marking and grading assignments and exams
* Offer one-on-one support to students who may need extra assistance with their studies
* Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
* Maintain records and assist in the preparation of reports on student progress
* Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a school or educational setting is preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their learning
* Patience, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* A relevant qualification in education or child development is advantageous
