An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join a great manufacturing faculty in East Yorkshire. Reporting into the Head of Operations, this is a permanent position offering a highly competitive salary, excellent benefits and an early finish on a Friday. The role would suit an experienced QS looking to develop into a Commercial Lead role with a great business.

The successful Commercial Manager will be responsible for:

Managing the Commercial team in order to maximise margin and opportunities
Development, training and mentoring of the commercial team
Ensuring Performance and targets are monitored and discussed
Ensure financial reports and forecasts are complete and accurate at month end
Resolve Final Account disputes with clients and Sub-contractors
Ensure commercial team are liaising with operations team to keep current with variation orders and progress on projects
Review weekly cashflow and monitor costs and margins on projects 

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working in a similar role as a Commercial Manager or as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally from within the construction or manufacturing sector.  You should have a Degree in Commerce or Quantity Surveying and knowledge of construction contract law would be beneficial. Strong people management skills and commercial management experience are also essential

This role offers an attractive salary and excellent benefits. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm and the business is commutable from  Hull, Driffield, York, Beverley, Scarborough  and surrounding areas
