Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Newbury

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000

An opportunity has opened for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an Engineering company based in Newbury. The ideal candidate will have a background within a manufacturing or engineering company and will have 3D CAD design experience in Solidworks.

Mechanical Design Engineer Key Skills:

* Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer

* Manufacturing or Engineering industry background

* 3D CAD Design experience – ideally Solidworks

* Experience of FMEA

* Understanding of ISO 9001 standards

* Excellent documentation skills

* Any new product development (NPD) experience would be good

* Sheet metal experience ideally

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

* Working with the rest of the engineering team, designing and developing new and existing mechanical products

* Using Solidworks for new 3D designs

* Run FMEA tests and document findings

* Working primarily with sheet metal manufacture

* Assist the engineering team with any faults and repairs required
