Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Orpington, Kent

3 Month Minimum (Temp to Perm)

Start Date: ASAP

Our client who is one of the leading companies with the FM sector are currently looking to employ a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on a Temporary full time basis based on a static site in Orpington with the view to go permanent for the right person.

The main purpose of the role will be to provide Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive works across the site.

Monday to Friday working 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures.
Provide cover for absent colleagues as appropriate to maintain the service
Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.

Be able to maintain, service and repair a wide range of the building services listed below :

Heating and domestic water services
General Electrical services such as lighting and power
Air handling units
Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear
Emergency standby generating plant
Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
Electrical control systems
Building Management System
Manage Plant Rooms, including Steam Pipes

Person Requirements

Fully qualified and experienced within a mechanical engineering discipline. (NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing Minimum)
Experience of building and facilities maintenance.
Multi Skilled with a Mechanical bias.
No criminal record
