Learning Support Assistant – Wakefield Secondary Schools
Full Time or Part Time – Term Time Only

We are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work in Secondary Schools in Wakefield. The role involves providing 1:1 and small group support for students within the school’s Specialist Learning Centre and mainstream classrooms.

We are looking for university students seeking flexible work, graduates, or individuals who want to further develop their skills in an educational setting. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting students and making a real impact on their learning journey.

Ideal Candidates will have experience supporting EAL or SEND students in an educational setting. You’ll need to be positive, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with both young people and colleagues. The role is highly rewarding as you help break down barriers to learning and work alongside parents, guardians, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
Work across a range of schools in Wakefield
Adhere to school policies and work collaboratively with senior staff
Communicate with parents and guardians as needed
