Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum + quarterly bonuses + flexible working hours and more

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a financial controller to join a rapidly growing business within the design and manufacturing sector, specialising in innovative acoustic solutions. This company is dedicated to creating high-quality products that enhance interior environments across various industries, including workspace, hospitality, education, and healthcare.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in an SME environment, where they can implement processes, establish controls, and shape a finance team. As a project-based business, no two days will be the same, and they need someone who can embed strong financial practices while supporting commercial growth.

Responsibilities

* Establish financial processes, systems, and controls, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.

* Manage management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow.

* Work closely with the leadership team to provide financial insights that support decision-making, pricing strategies, and profitability.

* Recruit, train, and develop a finance team as the company expands.

* Oversee compliance, financial reporting, tax obligations, and risk management.

Requirements

What’s Required

* An experienced SME financial controller who is comfortable being hands-on while also contributing to wider business strategy.

* Someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving, project-based business.

* A background in setting up finance functions, including reporting structures, controls, and systems.

* A self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with senior stakeholders.

* Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ideally in a design, manufacturing, or project-based company.
