Our client is seeking a junior candidate who wants a career in Underwriting.

The Underwriting Assistant role provides support to the CUO and Senior Reinsurance Underwriter, and liaises with other functions and assists in the smooth running of the underwriting function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Day-to-day monitoring and triaging of client queries especially during the renewal period.

-Day to day upkeep and administration of the Underwriting and Claims system – including liaison with the system developers.

-Ensuring that any relevant issues resulting from client questionnaires are passed to the engagement team and logged in the CRM system.

-Liaising with clients in assisting them with any underwriting system queries.

-Liaising with the engagement and comms teams with regards to the upkeep of the CRM system.

-Supporting and assisting the CUO with treaty and retro requirements.

-Attending some retro broker and reinsurer meetings.

Salary is competitive with additional benefits and they are keen to support the study of the CII exams. Hybrid working pattern available.
