Veritas Education is looking for a dedicated Science Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Hackney, North London. This role as a Science Teaching Assistant will involve supporting students aged 11-16 within the science department. As a Science Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students thrive, ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed in their education. Whether you have experience as a Science Teaching Assistant, Tutor or Teaching Assistant, we'd love to hear from you!

The role is perfect for someone who has a genuine passion for supporting children, as well as great scientific knowledge. Experience with school-aged children is essential, and your role will be pivotal in helping them achieve great things.

What we're looking for:

A Science based degree (minimum lower second)
Previous experience working with secondary aged children (ideally within a school environment)
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one)
Right to work in the UK
A strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and related support strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the diverse needs of students
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential)
